A big congratulations to Ben "Fred" Hagkull, Tanner Jung and Jack Kosterman. They've been invited to try out for Team Canada's U23 Men's Team! Only 18 athletes were selected to attend the selection camp, which will take place at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre from March 20-24.

BCWBS and BC Breakers hosted an annual BC Breakers Festival in Victoria, with the support of the Victoria Wheelchair Sports club. The event was held in conjunction with Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) women’s basketball champions at the University of Victoria on March 11 & 12.

BC Wheelchair Basketball and BC Breakers Women's Program are hosting the Annual Breakers Festival in Victoria on March 11 & 12.The event is open to all girls and women (with a physical disability or able-bodied) and we will have something for all levels of participants. A sport wheelchair can be provided upon request.

What a fun weekend with athletes from all across the Province! We had athletes from Prince George, Pender Island, Victoria, Kamloops and all across the lower mainland. We also had some Let's Play kids join us in the 8ft hoop division, who all did a great job on Saturday, we saw some awesome skills and plays by these younger athletes all aged 12 and under, youngest being 7 years old!

The City of Abbotsford and BC Wheelchair Basketball are hositng a Try It Day in Abbotsford on December 19. The event is open to anyone and is for participants of all ages to try.

Riley Martin’s wheelchair basketball career has already taken him to the Canada Winter Games and inspired him to give back by joining the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society’s Board of Directors. Now, he’s taking his game to the next level thanks to a high-performance basketball wheelchair purchased through a grant from the BC Rehab Foundation.

Unfortunately, children with physical disabilities are often left out of winter fun. That's why we've created our first ever Let's Play Winter Camp. We'll bring together 10 kids with physical disabilities under 12 and their families to Whistler for the ultimate winter experience, including:

Well it was another successful BC-CWBL tourmanent held in Kelowna this past weekend. We had all 7 teams in our league come out and compete. We had some new faces join teams which made for some interesting games and scores.
