Sports Funder Travel Grant Available

BC Wheelchair Sports is pleased to be able to offer the BCWSA Athlete Travel Assistance Program. This program is funded with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Sport and the Arts and in conjunction with the new SportsFunder lottery program.

The intention of the program is assist youth (18 years and younger) and developmental athletes (*see definition in the info sheet) in the cost of travel to attend designated events in the province.

Applicable Events

• 2011 Wheelchair Rugby League (January – March 2011 events)
• 2011 Athletics Clinic (February 19/20th)
• 2001 Vancouver Invitational Wheelchair Rugby Tournament (March 25/27, Burnaby)
• 2011 BC-CWBL Provincial Finals (March 5/6, Douglas College New West
  
• 2011 All-comers Wheelchair Basketball Festival (March 12, Douglas College New West)
  
• Okanagan Thunder Jamboree, (March 19/20, Kelowna)
