Let's Play BC receives grant from UPS

May 29, 2018

We are excited to announce that Let's Play BC has recently received a grant from UPS towards our physical literacy sport programs. With community and corporate support such as this Let's Play, an initiative of BC Wheelchair Basketball Society, can continue to deliver programming which helps children with mobility related physical disabilities across British Columbia become physically active early in life and encourages them to stay that way.

With 98 kid sized sport chairs distributed throughout the province in various communities, and more on a waiting list, this grant will help us purchase another wheelchair to supply the need and help deliver additional programming for kids to become more physically active in their communities and with their peers.  Check out where our Chair Champions are located.

On hand to accept the grant was Team BC member Tanner Jung.  In 2017/18 TJ was a member of Team BC at the BC Games and Junior National Championship.  He is currently training to represent Team BC at the 2019 Canada Winter Games.
