Kids From Across BC Have a Blast at the 2015 BCWBS Junior Wheelchair Basketball Challenge

November 23, 2015

Junior wheelchair basketball players from across BC had fun and learned new skills at the 2015 Junior Wheelchair Basketball Challenge in Abbotsford this weekend. Twenty-five athletes from age 11 - 19 came out to W.J. Mouat Secondary School for two days of games, drills, and skill sessions. The event also served as a selection camp for several zones at the BC Winter Games and a training event for coaches applying for their NCCP certification.

"It was one of our biggest Junior Challenges in recent years, and we owe it all to the parents who brought their children to the event, the great volunteers from W.J. Mouat and all of our coaches, referees and sponsors," said BCWBS Executive Director Sian Blyth.

The event was made possible by support from:

  • Wheelchair Basketball Canada
  • W.J. Mouat Secondary School
  • Panago Pizza
  • The Original Cakerie
