On May 21, 2025, BC Wheelchair Basketball Society was proud to host another unforgettable edition of Hoopfest, our largest annual fundraiser, at the Richmond Olympic Oval. The energy in the gym was electric as corporate and community teams came together with BCWBS athletes, coaches, staff and volunteers for a fun-filled evening of wheelchair basketball, celebration, and community impact.
16 teams competed in Hoopfest this year. Players had the chance to experience wheelchair basketball and connect directly with the athletes whose lives are shaped by the programs they support.

- Food for participants and coaches was kindly donated by BA LE DELI & Bakery - Bridgeport location.
- COBS Bread Bakery - Blundell location provided delicious baked goods.
- Wine and beer bar sponsored by Steamworks Brewing and Blasted Church Winery.
We are also proud to celebrate a major milestone: 2025 marked 10 years of YVR’s support as our Presenting Sponsor.
Their long-standing partnership has been vital in growing Hoopfest and advancing inclusive sport opportunities across B.C.
Thanks to the collective support of our participants, sponsors, and donors, this year’s event raised an astounding $65,000+ in support of wheelchair basketball programs throughout the province.
