Hoopfest 2018 sets new fundraising record.

May 22, 2018

BC Wheelchair Basketball would like to thank all of our corporate & community partners for their support through the sponsorship, donations and attendance for Hoopfest 2018.  Not only was 2018 a sold-out event with team joining us from Vancouver Airport Authority, Murphy Battista LLP, CIBC, Docksteader Subaru, viaSport BC, Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation, Burnaby Fire Department, Vancouver Police Department, and Steam Works Brewing, we had a record number of donations for our Silent and Live Auctions.

During the event, we also announced a new partnership with CIBC and Let's Play BC. CIBC will be providing a new sports wheelchair to the Let's Play BC program, where we currently have 97 kids in the province with their own chairs.  With the contribution of CIBC for another sport wheelchair and with some of the funds raising during the Live Auction at Hoopfest 2018, we will be able to take that up to 99 kids in BC with their own sports wheelchair as part of the Let's Play BC program.  Thank you everyone for your contribution to helping more kids.

If you missed Hoopfest 2018 - SAVE THE DATE FOR 2019.  It will be our 25th Anniversary event - and the best one yet!
