Congratulations to BCWBS Board Member Brad Hagkull

November 16, 2017

On behalf of the Board of Directors, our members, athletes, officials  and volunteers, BCWBS would like to congratulate Brad Hagkull from Chilliwack.

Today, Brad was awarded the Award of Merit from the Public Health Association of BC for his contribution to enhancing the health of his community.

The Award of Merit is given to a community member who does not belong to the PHABC but who has contributed significantly to enhancing the health of their community. They may have been involved in a variety of areas that impacted in some way the broader determinants of health. Perhaps it was providing support for low cost housing, improving the food supply for low-income areas, supporting programs for children and youth, or supporting healthy lifestyles in general.

A well-deserved recognition. Thank you so very much for all you have done and continue to do for the wheelchair basketball community!

Executive Director, Sian Blyth was on hand to accept the award on Brad's behalf.
