BCWBS Official Dean MacKinnon Named Basketball BC Hall Of Fame Inductee

BCWBS is thrilled to announce that our head official Dean MacKinnon will be inducted to the Basketball BC Hall of Fame in April. Please see the media release from Basketball BC for more information.

Here's Dean's highlights:

Dean McKinnon OFFICIAL
• Basketball official for over 40 years
• Worked local, provincial and national games/tournaments since mid ‘70’s
• Began wheelchair basketball officiating in the mid 80’s and has been involved in that game ever since
o Worked nationally and internationally
• A Director of Wheelchair Sports since the 1980’s
• BC Wheelchair Basketball Official of the Year in 2000, 2005, 2010

President Diana Chan and Executive Director Lawrie Johns are pleased to announce the 2012 inductees to the Basketball BC Hall of Fame.

“This class represents very significant contributions to our sport both in British Columbia as well as beyond our provincial borders “ said Johns. “This is our 10th class induction and we look forward to celebrating the individuals and team at our Gala on April 21 at the Langley Events Centre.”
