BC Wheelchair Basketball Society Receives a BC Rehab Foundation Grant

September 1, 2015

BC Wheelchair Basketball Society is grateful to be a recipient of a BC Rehab Foundation grant. The BC Rehab Foundations provides support to projects that encourage barrier-free communities. The grant will be used to purchase two wheelchair basketball wheelchairs, which will be used in community programs and events.

Not having a proper sports wheelchair is a major barrier for new participants,” said BC Wheelchair Basketball Society Executive Director Sian Blyth. “Thanks to this grant, more people with disabilities across the province will be able to live active, healthy lifestyles through sport.”

The mission of British Columbia Rehabilitation Foundation is to support people with disabilities province-wide through education, research, arts, recreations and wellness programs.

Thank you to the BC Rehab Foundation!
