(Burnaby, BC) – With less than three weeks to go until the 2015 Canada Winter Games, Team BC will host Ontario and Alberta in a friendly wheelchair basketball tournament at the Fortius Sport and Health Center this weekend. Athletes and coaching staff will be available to the media before and after games.
“This is our last opportunity to come together as a team before the Canada Winter Games,” said Head Coach Marni Abbott-Peter. “We’re grateful to Fortius for supporting this event.”
The tournament will feature games, team training and even a pizza party provided by Panago.
The tournament schedule is as follows:
Friday, Jan 30th:
6 pm: BC vs. Ontario
7:30 m: BC vs. Ontario
Saturday, Jan 31st
1:00 pm: Alberta vs Ontario
2:45 pm: BC vs. Alberta
7:00 pm: BC vs. Ontario
8:45 pm: Ontario vs. Alberta
Sunday, Feb. 1st:
8:00 am: Ontario vs. Alberta
