BC Wheelchair Basketball congratulates Kathy Newman

BC Sports Hall of Fame names Class of 2020.

Our organization is extremely grateful to acknowledge the 2020 induction of Kathy Newman into the BC Sports Hall of Fame.

Newman received the 2020 W.A.C Bennett Award on October 29, 2019 at the formal induction ceremony. This is a special recognition award of the BC Sports Hall of Fame, the most prestigious honour awarded by the Hall of Fame.  It is presented, from time to time, to an individual who has made a significant, unique and lasting contribution to sport in the Province of BC.  Over her vast career, Newman held numerous roles at all levels of engagement in wheelchair and adapted sport and for that we are truely grateful.
