BC Junior and Men's Provincial Teams Announced for 2012

The BC Wheelchair Basketball Society is pleased to announce selections for the Men's and Junior Provincial teams who will each compete in their respective National Championship events this Spring, while the Women's team will be named next month.

The Junior squad will be head up by BCWBS Coaches Matt Buchi and Arley McNeney as they travel to Regina March 23-25 for the Western Regional Championships. This team represents the new face of our junior programming that will also start their preparations for the 2015 Canada Winter Games to be held in Prince George, BC. The team members are as follows:

Alec Kendall, Kelowna
Avril Harris, Prince George
Ben Hagkull, Chilliwack
Dorin Wingham, Powell River
Erin Higgins, Delta
Jack Kosterman, Langley
Justin Johnson, Langley
Nathan Bragg, Maple Ridge
Stephanie Park, Maple Ridge

The Men's Provincial Team will head into the 2012 National Championships hosted at the Richmond Olympic Oval May 17-20th as five- time defending champs. The competition will be fierce as the men take to the court lead by Coaches Joe Higgins, Scott Allen and Matt Buchi and the following athletes:

Bryan Shore, Kelowna
Deion Green, Victoria
Erik Hagreen, New Westminster
