Victoria Wheelchair Sports (VWS) - wheelchair basketball division is looking for an individual who is interested in transitioning previous basketball experience into wheelchair basketball coaching. A small honorarium will be available for the chosen candidate.
Responsibilities:
• Develop productive practice plans which will be held every Sunday night from 6:00-8:00 pm at PISE (Pacific Institute for Sports Excellence) located at the Camosun College.
• Coach a broad spectrum of athletes with varying levels of disability
• Monitor athletes and track improvement
• Coach the team in competitions
• Foster a positive atmosphere and support new participants
Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience of basketball as an athlete or a coach.
• Basic basketball fundamentals
• First Aid would be an asset
