The BC Wheelchair Basketball League has delivered a strong and competitive season to date, with consistent play and regional representation across both senior and junior divisions. With one final weekend remaining in the regular season, teams are preparing for an important close to the season that will determine final standings heading in to the BC Finals in March.
Senior League
The senior division standings remain close heading into the final weekend of play. Fraser Valley currently leads the league with an 8–3 record over 11 games, earning 19 points so far. Kamloops follows in second place with 6 wins and 17 points, while Prince George holds a balanced 4–4 record and 12 points. Vancouver and Victoria are tied on 11points, reflecting how competitive the middle of the pack has been throughout the season.
Final standings will be decided during the last league weekend on January 24–25 at Trinity Western University in Langley and determine seeding for the BC Finals in March at the Richmond Olympic Oval. The league champion will earn the opportunity to represent BC at the WBC Open Finals in Edmonton this April, marking the first time in many years that BC has returned to this qualification format, with league champions advancing to the national club championship.

Junior League
The Junior League continues to operate using a weekend-based tournament format, where each event produces a standalone winner rather than cumulative season standings. This structure places equal importance on every tournament and rewards performance consistently across the season.
The Kamloops tournament featured three teams: Okanagan Thunder, Fraser Valley Lions, and the Islanders, and concluded with a final matchup between the Islanders and Okanagan Thunder, with the Islanders earning the weekend win.
In Victoria, the league expanded to five teams with the addition of Tacoma and Pender Island. While no final game was played, the Fraser Valley Lions completed a 5–0 weekend to finish first based on overall results.
The Junior League will conclude with one more weekend in Langley later this month. On Sunday morning, a Junior Jamboree will bring together Junior League athletes and Let’s Play participants for a fun, development-focused competition that emphasizes participation, learning, and connection across programs.

BC Wheelchair Basketball Society extends its thanks to Wheelchair Basketball Canada and Gaming (BCLC) for their support of the Junior League this season, as well as HME BC for supporting league tournaments and the BC Finals banquet
